February 2018

  • ITP has begun sending out the following reports to Fall and Midyear testers:
  • The Iowa Growth Report summarizes student growth on the Iowa Assessments for the 2017-2018 school year.
  • The Iowa Core Report summarizes achievement information on the Iowa Core for your students, your AEA and the state.
  • Educators will find these helpful for analyzing and sharing results with interested stakeholders, including staff, School Board members, the press and the public. District reports may be downloaded from the eITP webpage . Click here for information about interpretation.
  • Efficiency improvements allow ITP to regularly score and report the Iowa Assessments one week after student documents are received.
  • Access alignment information to aid in the interpretation of results from the Iowa Assessments. Click here.

December 2017

  • The Iowa Core Report and Iowa Growth Report from Iowa Testing Programs are ready for most 2017-2018 fall testers in Iowa. The reports provide summaries of proficiency, growth and Iowa Core information for your students. Click here to access the reports for your district.

October 2017

  • Iowa Testing Programs is pleased to once again partner with the University of Northern Iowa and Iowa State University on an annual evaluation of achievement, awareness, and interest in STEM in Iowa in support of the Iowa Governor’s STEM Advisory Council. The 2016-17 report and an archive of past reports are available here.
  • Coming this winter, schools and districts in Iowa will be able to administer the online Iowa Algebra Readiness Assessment via Chromebook! Assess your students’ readiness for Algebra using a proven assessment with real-time support at a very affordable cost, from Iowa Testing Programs. Click here to learn more about the IARA.
  • Iowa Testing Programs has expanded the reporting capabilities of our eITP online reporting tool for Iowa schools. At the district and school level, users are now offered additional menu options to view data for groups of students disaggregated by gender. Data may be displayed by females or males grouped by FRL (free and reduced lunch) or by race/ethnicity. At the individual report level, eITP now makes available all subject tests to the selection pool for list reports (“Get list of student scores by building and grade”).

September 2017

  • The College Readiness Report for Iowa’s Graduating Class of 2017 is Now Available.
  • Final versions of the Iowa Growth Report and Iowa Core Report for Iowa schools have been published for the 2016-17 school year. Paper versions have been mailed out, and electronic versions may be accessed at eITP.

May 2017

  • Over 200 district superintendents have received copies of their Iowa Core and Iowa Growth Reports in the most recent distribution. Remember, updated reports are always available on eITP. Check yours out today!
  • All first-time testing for Iowa schools should be complete and answer documents returned for processing. Registration is still open for Iowa schools for the rest of May for homeschool or second testing needs.

April 2017

  • Iowa Testing Programs offers Individual Level Reports to support Iowa educators who wish to set growth goals with their students. The report displays this year’s observed scores and next year’s expected scores, and is available in eITP.
  • The end of the school year is when many schools administer the online Iowa End of Course Assessments. Learn more about the subjects tested and content coverage here.

March 2017

  • Iowa Testing Programs has added a search tool in eITP to allow Iowa schools to identify students that qualify for the Belin-Blank Exceptional Student Talent Search (BESTS).
  • Once again, Iowa Testing Programs is pleased to offer the Class Item Response Record report electronically for free to any Iowa school or district that has ordered the paper version of the report. To order the electronic report, click here for a list of your orders that qualify for this free addition.
  • Iowa students have taken over 100,000 Iowa End-of-Course tests online since 2011. Click here to learn more about this program.
  • In 2017, ITP has typically processed test results (between receipt of documents and shipment of results) in 4-5 business days.
  • Iowa Testing Programs invites Iowa schools to volunteer in an Online Writing Pilot. Students in Grades 3-8 will spend one class period responding to a Writing prompt. Analysis of students’ writing will be provided to educators, as well as compensation. Please e-mail david-henkhaus@uiowa.edu for additional information.

  • ITP is posting the 4th year of Iowa Core Reports, based on this year’s data. Fall testers may begin accessing your reports on eITP to see updated information regarding:
    1. Comparisons to your AEA and the State
    2. Growth
    3. Proficiency
    4. Performance on the Iowa Core
  • Research recently conducted on growth at the University of Iowa found that Iowa students demonstrated strong Reading gains from Grades 3 to 4. Click here for more information.

November 2016

  • Share the Iowa Core Report with your community. The report provides a summary of proficiency, growth and Iowa Core information for your students. This year’s report will be available the month after your testing is completed, and can be easily compared to prior years. Click here to access this information for your district.

October 2016

  • The Iowa Assessments allow educators to track student performance towards readiness. Readiness thresholds for middle and high school students can be found here.
  • Content validity evidence remains the most fundamental consideration in developing the Iowa Assessments. This evidence allows Iowa schools the opportunity to test according to their own schedules throughout the year. More information about content validity can be found here.

September 2016

  • ITP collaborates with Governor’s STEM Advisory Council to evaluate STEM programs in Iowa. Find more information here.
  • ITP works with Iowa Department of Education to reinforce sound assessment practices by making acceptance of Test Administration Assurance necessary to access site.
