Iowa End-of-Course Assessments
Iowa Testing Programs is pleased to offer the Iowa End-Of-Course tests online since May 2011. Paper and pencil versions are no longer available.
Each test in the four content areas (English language arts, math, science, and
social studies) is now offered online, and costs $3.25 per student per
administration.
The tests offer real-time information to the student, teacher and administrator about student performance in key high school courses;
and can provide evidence of the college- and career-readiness of your students.

Description
With improved teaching and learning as the primary focus of this end-of-course program,
the Iowa End-of-Course (IEOC) assessments measure the extent to which students have
met academic standards of high school courses. The IEOC provides diagnostic information
to help students identify strengths and weaknesses in specific content areas found
in the Iowa Core Curriculum. Results help to monitor student progress throughout
the high school career, giving students the opportunity for enrichment or remediation.
Results can be used by teachers to help make instruction more effective. Schools
and districts can help evaluate the performance of students within specific courses.
The IEOCs are being developed to match the courses most frequently offered in math,
science, and social studies.
