The Iowa End-of-Course assessments are designed to assess student knowledge and
skills in a variety of subject areas. The modules are designed to cover specific
subject areas and are intended to allow for a broader coverage of content than the
regular IEOC assessments. The modules consist of approximately 16 multiple-choice
items and are designed to be administered in less than a single class period. The
test items, which are aligned to the Common Core State Standards, reflect educator
input and a rigorous quality-control process to ensure appropriateness, content
accuracy, and clarity.
